Bacteriostatic Water

Bacteriostatic Water (0.9% Benzyl Alcohol in Sterile Water for Injection) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic preparation used in laboratory research for the reconstitution of lyophilised peptides and research compounds. The addition of 0.9% benzyl alcohol acts as a bacteriostatic agent, inhibiting microbial growth and extending the stability of reconstituted solutions.
